Our commitment to quality ensures that every print we produce meets the highest standards of accuracy and durability. Whether you need vibrant designs, detailed artwork, or unique print effects, we have the expertise to bring your vision to life.
Our Screen Printing Process
Screen printing is the process of using mesh screens to print individual colors onto a garment. At Icy Studios, we use a direct-to-screen machine, which bypasses the need for transparency film. This advanced technology allows for higher quality and more accurate prints. We can print up to 12 colors with our setup. Additionally, with simulated process printing, we use halftones to achieve the appearance of a much higher color range. Our Pantone color match system ensures that the prints reflect your artwork as accurately as possible.
Our jumbo screen setups can print up to 16” wide by 20” tall, perfect for all your larger print needs. When you choose Icy Studios, you’re choosing a print shop that goes the extra mile to deliver exceptional products.

Screen Print Methods
-
Plastisol Ink: The most widely used ink in the apparel printing industry. Plastisol ink is highly versatile and can be mixed to create almost any color.
-
UV Ink: UV ink is transparent but turns vibrant cyan, magenta, or yellow when activated by sunlight.
-
Puff Print: When a puff additive is mixed with plastisol ink, the ink rises during the curing process, creating an eye-catching look and feel.
-
Simulated Process Printing: This technique recreates highly detailed or photorealistic artwork for screen printing. Colors are separated into channels, and blends, transparency, and fades are converted into halftone dots.
-
Glow in the Dark Ink: This ink is transparent in light but glows vibrant neon green in the dark. We also offer a red glow option.
-
Metallic Ink: We offer metallic gold and silver inks to add a shimmer effect to your prints.
-
Screen Print Transfer: This process allows us to print single-color artwork onto transfer paper, which can then be heat-pressed onto garments. This method is commonly used for foam trucker hats.
-
Special Location Printing: We can print over pockets, zippers, seams, and other non-traditional placements.
